Nook Store Upgrades

Nook's Store starts off as a small shack with hardly any merchandise, and gradually gets upgraded to a department store based on how many bells have been spent there.

The Nook Store Levels are:

• Nook's Cranny - the starting level
• Nook 'n' Go - spend 30,000 bells + 8 days of Nook's Cranny being open
• Nookway - spend 80,000 bells + 15 days of Nook 'n' Go being open
• Nookington's - spend 150,000 bells + 22 days of Nookway being open

(Note: the spending levels are a combined total for everyone in your town, not individual totals)

Thirty days after you obtain Nookington's, as you are exiting the store, Tom Nook will ask you about what you look for in your shopping experience.

The choice of response will allow you to change your store if you desire:

• Variety (keep Nookington's)
• Balance (switch to Nookway)
• Good hours (switch to Nook 'n' Go)
• Nothing much

Any change will happen a week later.

If you changed your store, Nook will ask his survey again eventually.

Opening Hours: 8:00am to 10:00pm

Nook's Cranny is a tiny shop which offers the basics.

Opening Hours: 7:00am to 1:00am

Upgrade after: 30,000 bells + 8 days of Nook's Cranny being open

Nook 'n' Go is a convenience store style shop, with opening hours to match. Nook 'n' Go has a larger amount of stock than Nook's Cranny.

Opening Hours: 8:00am to 10:00pm

Upgrade after: 80,000 bells + 15 days of Nook 'n' being open

Nookway is a supermarket style shop, and has a larger selection again.

There are:

• 5 items
• 2 wallpapers
• 2 carpets
• 4 bags of seed
• 4 tools
• 3 stationerys
• 2 trees
• 1 medicine
• 1 paint

Annoyingly, the opening times are back to shorter hours.

Opening Hours: 9:00am to 9:00pm

Upgrade after: spend 150,000 bells + 22 days of Nookway being open

Nookington's is a two-story department store, with the opening hours to match (which can be annoying - 9 to 9!). Tom's nephews Timmy and Tommy help him run this store, it is so large.

Items in Nookington's are:

• 3 wallpapers
• 3 carpets
• 7 bags of seed
• 6 tools
• 4 stationerys
• 3 trees
• 1 medicine
• 1 paint

When you have Nookington's and Nook asks you a question, answer variety to keep the current store. If you want to you can say: good opening hours = Nook n' Go, balance = Nookway, and anything else will take you back to Nook's Cranny.
