Shoe Shine Guide

See Kicks in the city to get a shoe shine, to change your shoes in the game. You can choose to have your new shoes based on either your color or your style. This is based on the color and style designations (genres) of your clothes, accessories, and haircut.

When you choose color, your shoes are based on the color that has the highest count, from your clothes and haircut.

Your shirt has two colors, each accessory (if any) has two colors (including hats), and your haircut has two colors.

To determine your main color, look up the shirt, hat and accessories you are wearing in the HTA Item List. The colors are shown in the individual item view.

Whichever color has the highest count out of the eight, six, or four colors (depending on how many accessories you wear) determines your shoes.

Note: If you are wearing a hat, your hair color may not count (the hat color counts instead), but this is yet to be fully proven. Wigs are the same color as your hair when you are wearing them so they don't matter.

When you choose style, your shoes are based on the genre that has the highest count, from your clothes and haircut.

Your shirt has one genre, each accessory (if any) has one genre (including hats), and your haircut has two genres.

To determine your genre, look up the shirt, hat and accessories you are wearing in the HTA Item List. The genres are shown in the individual item view.

To determine the genre of your hairstyle, refer to the Hair Style Guide.

Whichever genre has the highest count out of the five, four, or three styles (depending on how many accessories you wear) determines your shoes.

Note: If you are wearing a hat, your hair genre may not count (the hat genre counts instead), but this is yet to be fully proven. Unlike color, wigs count as hats because they have their own genre.

There are 20 possible shoes, 10 masculine and 10 feminine. After you have got a number of shoe shines, Kicks will offer you “opposite gender” shoes (just like Harriet does for hairstyles)!

If you choose to shine by color you will get the shoes corresponding to your main color, if you choose to shine by style, you will get the shoes corresponding to your main genre.

If you choose to shine by color you will get the shoes corresponding to your main color, if you choose to shine by style, you will get the shoes corresponding to your main genre.
