Time Travelling GuideLet's say you are going to be away on vacation and won't be playing your game for a while. The last thing you want is to come back to dead or missing hybrids that you've been cultivating, or to lose your best neighbours. What's an ACCF addict to do?
The answer is Time Travel! Note: always time travel by changing the WII box date and time and not the time in the game. Not sure why, but other sites give this warning so its best to be safe than sorry First - on your last day you play and talk to your neighbours and if its not raining water your plants before you finish and save. Make note of the date. When you get back and are ready to play, before launching ACCF - change the date on your WII system to the day after you last played. Now when you launch ACCF, its just like the next day. But you want to catch up to real time? So then you must play multiple days in a single day. How? Play a day watering your plants if its not raining and talk to all your neighbours. Save and then go to the WII menu and change the date. Start ACCF and play again. Repeat until you get to the day you want. You can use this technique to gain days before you go, but again make note of the last day that ACCF thinks it is when you leave. OMG - you came back from vacation and forgot to change the date and all you see is empty spots and dead flowers - I not sure but I would hit reset quickly and exit the game without saving and then follow the instructions above. Hopefully you will not have lost anything but I suspect it will be too late and I don't want to try it just in case. Time travel also has its pluses for other things. Lets say you want to grow your grass. On a day when its raining - talk to all you neighbours (to keep them from moving) - save and then advance the day at the WII menu. Play your character and talk to your neighbours, you don't need to water since you're going to time travel backwards - save and then go back to the exact time on the day before when it was raining. Now repeat as many times as you have time for. Try to minimize where you walk for optimum grass regrowth. Note: There are some pluses to this in that Nooks and the Able sisters will have new items each time you save and when you advance and you get new money rocks, fossils and gyroids since it rained. Want to play Saharah multiple times? Play her, save, then go back a day. If its not raining, water your plants and talk to your animals, then save and go forward again. Voila, you get more old flooring or carpets. If you have multiple characters, make sure they all “wake up” on the previous day, even if just to go right back to sleep so that they too can get more old stuff. You can do the same thing with Redd. On Wednesday after playing and saving, go back to Tuesday. When you advance to Wednesday again, Redd's has new stuff. You can trigger bank interest the same way over and over again by replaying the last day of the month and the first. CAUTION: when moving between months be VERY CAREFUL, as its way too easy to forget to change the month back and forth when all you normally have to do is change the day. Downside - if its the sell off at Gracies, then all her items will go to sold when you time travel back and forth. Likewise if its not between Tuesday and Wednesday you will have Redd's sell off all his items. I have no experience with that d*** flying saucer. Has anyone tried to time travel to see it multiple times? I suspect if you have the time and inclination you can go back as many days as you like without impacting your status. You just need to play one day forward each time you advance to help protect your neighbours and flowers. If you don't care about either, then jump around all you like. So time travel if you miss Jingle, Pave, etc. BTW - you can move around during a single day as much as you like, so if you sleep in and want to get your Sunday turnip, just set the time back before noon, then fix it after you buy your turnip. Be careful, if you played at 11pm and it was raining and you go back in time to sell your goods, you should go back to 11pm for the rain. Not as bad as jumping between days where you must go back to the rain if you want it to register, but always better to be safe than sorry. |
