Patterns

HTA Members can submit patterns from the game to Happy Town Academy and have them linked to their profile.

Their are two ways to submit patterns to HTA:

1. Via the Pattern Gallery
2. Via HTA Stories

After you submit a story via one of these two methods, we will add it to the Patterns Section and it will be linked to your profile!

You will need an SD Card in your Wii for this method.

• If you have an SD card in your Wii, take a photo while in the “edit” screen of the pattern in the game, and save it.

• Copy the photo of the pattern from the SD card to your computer. If you have any image editing software, you can crop the photo so that it contains only the pattern (don't worry if you can't do this, just submit the whole photo and we will crop it for you).

• Go to the Pattern Gallery and select “Add new image” (from the top right) and upload the pattern. Type the name of your pattern as the Title of the post, and add any description details in the Message of the post. Look in the pattern gallery at other user's patterns to get ideas for descriptions, etc.

Next, submit a photo of the pattern from the game:

• Take a photo while in the “edit” screen of the pattern in the game, and send it in as a story.

• Add your HTA username, the name of the pattern and a description of it to the letter you send to HTA.

• In the game, turn the grid on in the pattern “edit” screen before you take the photo (underneath the thumbnail of your design on the right of the screen).

• Move the pointer off the grid before taking the photo.

• Let us know the color palette number you used (1-16), to make it easy for other member's to duplicate your pattern in their games.

• If you are submitting another HTA member's pattern and want to give them the credit, tell us in the message/story and we will add it to their profile instead of to yours.

• If you want to submit a pro pattern, see Mabel at The Able Sisters' Shop and tell her you want to create a new pattern - she will give you a spiel about how much it costs, etc.

• Select the slot where your pattern is - don't worry if Mabel says you are overwriting it, if you cancel without saving it will be fine.

• The pattern will then be shown in the “edit” screen. Take your photo and then cancel - Mabel won't charge you and your pattern will remain the same!

• If you are worried that you might accidentally overwrite your pattern, save it with Mabel in the “Pattern Storage” first.

• If all 4 parts of the pro pattern are different (front, back, right arm, left arm), take 4 photos and submit them all with a note on which part of the pattern they belong to.
