HTA Stories

You can publish pictures and short text to HappyTownAcademy directly from within Animal Crossing : City Folk.

Note: If your character is in the same town (on the same Wii) as another HTA member, your stories will be listed together.

To do this you need to first make HappyTownAcademy a friend of your Wii. In the main Wii menu, select the envelope icon in the bottom right. Select the 'Create Message' option then the 'Address Book'. This screen shows your Wii Number. Click 'Register', then 'Others' and enter :

… as the address, followed by a name (e.g. HTA, HappyTown, etc). Don't worry - we will not send junk mail to your Wii!

Your Wii will then request to be friends with HappyTownAcademy. This can take 10-20 mins, and you will know it has worked when you get a letter from HTA.

Important: You also need to add your Wii Number to your HTA profile, so that your stories can be linked to you. Go to “My Profile” and then click “edit profile” at the bottom of the page. Enter your Wii number in the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (where the x's are numbers).

Head to the Town Hall and talk to Pelly (or Phyllis) and choose 'Send Mail', then 'Wii Message Board', then 'A Friend'. Choose HappyTownAcademy from the list.

Now type your story entry, remember you can edit the 'to' and 'from' lines! When you have finished, confirm that the message is correct AND if you have taken a picture - you will be asked if you want to attach the last photo you took to the story!

At the moment, Animal Crossing seems to only allow one story to be sent per player per day.

To view your Story, view your profile and click on 'View my Story'. All public profile users will have their Stories listed here: http://www.happytownacademy.com/story

If you name an item, set, character or neighbor in your story, it will appear as a link to the HTA page for that item, set, character or neighbor!
